Laser for sale
Someone should be sailing this at Water Rats or OHCC. Garaged since a full refinish. Like new, and ready for the water.

Firm — reflects a $1,200 Awlgrip refinish done 15 years ago
Whitby, Ontario
There’s something almost poetic about a boat that’s been this well cared for and simply never used. This Laser was refinished in Awlgrip about 15 years ago — a professional-grade topcoat job that cost $1,200 at the time — and has been garaged ever since. It has not touched water since the refinish. The hull looks, by all accounts, like new.

What’s included — and what to know
The forward inspection port was used to reinforce the mast step with additional fibreglass — a smart preemptive fix for a known weak point on older Lasers. The aft port doubles as a sealed dry compartment, ideal for a wallet, phone, or water bottle. The sail has been stored inside and shows no mould.
A brand-new Harken ratchet block is included — still in its original packaging, never used. That alone is worth a trip out to Whitby.
The hiking strap hasn’t been reinstalled yet but all the hardware is there — just needs a few minutes to sort out. The one missing item is the cockpit drain plug, which is easily replaced with a cork or rubber stopper from any hardware store.
The seller is willing to sail it to Toronto for the right buyer — though honestly, this boat deserves a trailer and a little ceremony.
If you’re not in the market yourself but know someone adding to their fleet, or a junior sailor looking for a proper boat, please pass this along. It would be a shame for this one to stay in a garage any longer.
