Hanlan’s Board is delighted to announce that, for the third year in a row, the Toronto Port Authority (formerly PortsToronto) has agreed to become the exclusive sponsor of Hanlan’s 2026 “Paddle and Pedal” youth summer camp, providing $10,000 in funding for camp operations, including staff compensation, equipment maintenance, and gasoline for coach boats. Delivered in partnership with the YMCA of Greater Toronto, Hanlan’s 10-week-long summer camp teaches youth, ages 6-13, how to row, canoe, kayak, paddle board, swim and bike in Toronto’s Outer Harbour and in the Port Lands area. The camp is open to all youth from the Toronto community.
The Toronto Port Authority is responsible for managing the Port of Toronto, the International Marine Passenger Terminal and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Since 2009, it has invested more than $28 million in charitable initiatives and environmental programs that benefit communities along Toronto’s waterfront and beyond.
For questions about the sponsorship, please contact Sunny Edmunds via Slack or email (sunnyedmunds@yahoo.com). For questions about the summer camp or to register, please visit our summer camp webpage or the YMCA camp website.
