Celebrating the Life of Paul Howard, Saturday, July 12

You are invited to a celebration of the life of our dear friend Paul Howard, an extraordinary man, world sailor and inspiration to all. Paul will be greatly missed.

Date: Saturday, July 12th
Time: 1:00 pm – light refreshments
2:00 – open mic: please feel free to share your memories of Paul
3:00 -sail past in honour of Paul for those who would like to participate.

Place: TMCC, 16 Regatta Rd, Toronto

Please RSVP to Chris Weigel by email.

Please note that the TMCC members have generously offered to take anyone interested on to their boat for the sailpast. Boats will be at the dock, so it will be relatively easy to get on board. Please just wear soft-soled shoes.

If you want to participate, just go down to the dock at the end of the speeches, and we will find you a boat.

The boats will go out into the sheltered area next to the TMCC and take a turn going past Rain, which was Paul and Fiona’s last boat. Fiona and the rest of the family will be on board Rain, and the boats will exchange a sound signal with a horn that the family has used on their boats since the 1970s. Rain will stay at the dock, and anyone who wishes to stay ashore can just stand or sit and watch from the shore near Rain or from the other dock.

Look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
